The museum is a must see when visiting Sturgis. Learn a great deal of history of motorcycles.
We met former Wisconsin State Senator Dave Zien. He holds 119 world records, 11,000 miles in 11 days, over 31,000 miles in 31 days, and 113,800 miles in one year.
Even though he lost a leg in a motorcycle accident, he still rides. It was really interested to hear so many of his stories.
There are many different campgrounds around the Sturgis area. Katmandu is one of the more quiet campgrounds. If you want to have a somewhat quieter place to cap.

There is a food wagon with a limited menu. but the food is quite good. There are outside shelters with picnic tables to enjoy your meal and hang with friends.

There is a bus available to rides back and forth to downtown Sturgis for those who want to party hard and keep the roads safe.
We definitely recommend this campground which is only available during Sturgis Bike Week. If you want to book this campground you need to secure your spot way before Bike Week,

This park is quiet, well-maintained, and level sites with trees. . We nd enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it.
We always like to find unique diners to visit. They usually have unique atmosphere and good food. Mel’s was no exception.
The food was great. we had a fabulous breakfast and enjoyed the quaint atmosphere.

A very well done tribute that tells a story of veterans. Many soldiers have given their lives so that we could have the freedoms we enjoy. God Bless them all. Here are some of the photos we took.

Lates has been around for a long long time. During the days when Gypsy went to high school this was the lunch time hang out.
The food is always good. Cheese curds and onion rings are very popular and quite delicious.

This restaurant is one of those small town icons that has survived all these years. It will be one of those places we visit anytime we are in Manitowoc, WI.
There is counter and table seating. This was quite a popular place. It was Sunday lunch crowd and people were waiting in line.
